How to make rope in Illustrator

When my client asked me to create a logo that included an anchor and rope I was nervous about how to make the rope look uniform and clean. Little did I know it's actually incredibly easy. All you need to to do is create the simple shape to make a pattern brush and voila. Watch the reel below for a tutorial on how I made the rope for this logo.
